It’s almost May, and although the Oregon weather hasn’t quite made up its mind yet, it’s pretty safe to say spring time is among us. So what better time to tidy up and give your apartment that much needed makeover. And I’m not talking about the quick clean up you did three months ago. I’m talking about a serious spring cleaning session. Here’s some of our favorite songs that seem to make cleaning a lot less painless. So grab some rubber gloves and a sponge and check out our Spring Cleaning playlist!
It’s finally here. The one week of the term that we dread above all others: dead week. With the winter term finally coming to an end, it can be easy for students to get sidetracked with plans on how they will spend their Spring breaks. But before we can sell back our books and work on our tans, we must survive the deadlines and finals that come along with dead week. We here at the Flux blog understand it can sometimes be hard to find motivation to study when promises of sunny weather are just around the corner, so we thought we would put a playlist to get people pumped up and motivate them through the next couple of weeks. So grab your books, find a nice spot in the library and check out our pump up playlist!
We’ve all freaked out at least once in our lives. Whether it’s caused by a tough day of work or trouble with friends, we’ve all had those days where all we want to do is kick and scream and yell. Instead of taking your anger out on your pillow or screaming at the top of the lungs, we thought we’d give you a playlist to help release your stress in a more healthy fashion. So next time you find yourself on the brink of a nervous breakdown, grab a pair of head phones, crank up the volume and check out our Freak Out playlist.
To some people, Sundays are a painful reminder that our weekend is about to end as quickly as it came. But for me, Sundays are the perfect chance to unwind and catch up on all of the homework we should have been doing instead of drinking the night before. So here’s a playlist for you to enjoy as you sip on your coffee and prepare to take on the day!
Procrastination. We’re all guilty of it. We’ve all had those late nights when we spend hours on Youtube instead of studying for our midterms and finals. Those endless evenings when we camp out in the Knight Library only to put on our Sherlock Holmes hats to become Facebook detectives. We’ve all been there, and we all know how much it sucks. So we here at the Flux blog decided to give a shout out to the weekend warriors who were partying when they should’ve been hitting the books. We probably would have had this playlist up sooner, but we kind of put it together at the last minute.
It’s week 4 of the term, which means it’s time to double check all of your syllabi and make sure you don’t have any midterms this week. But before we dive into all of the tests and assignment deadlines that will soon dictate our lives, we here at the Flux blog thought we would put together a playlist to remind us of a simpler time. A time when leg warmers and fingerless gloves were in style. A time when a singer named Madonna was just breaking onto the scene. A time when hair metal bands roamed the earth. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our 80’s edition playlist.
