Flux Playlist: What We're Thankful For

This week is Thanksgiving, and we’re taking the time to remember everything for which we are thankful. Our playlist this Music Monday contains songs that represent those things we might take for granted at times, but that we always remember to appreciate in the end.

Apartment – Young the Giant (I am thankful that I have a place to go back to after classes.)
We Are Family – Sister Sledge (I am thankful for “all my sisters and me!”)

Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terre (I am thankful for my mom and sister because no matter what happens, the three of us are always there for each other.)
You and I – Anarbor (I am thankful for the people in my life that allow me to be myself and bring a new adventure every day.)

The Best Day – Taylor Swift (I am thankful for my mom!)
The Great Escape – Boys like Girls (I am thankful for my friends and all our crazy adventures.)

Home – Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros (I am thankful for my home in Bend, OR!)
Coat of Many Colors – Dolly Parton (I am thankful for my mom and all that she does for me.)

Coin Laundry – Lisa Mitchell (I am thankful that even the simplest of days are adventures—you never know what is going to happen.)
This Sweet Love – James Yuill (I am thankful to have so much love in my life. It brings out the best in all of us!)

For Good – Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth: Wicked Soundtrack (I am thankful for my best of friends and family that support me no matter where I am or whatever situation I am in.)
I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman – Britney Spears (I am thankful that I am no longer going through puberty.)

Portland, Oregon – Loretta Lynn and Jack White (I am thankful that I am going home to Portland.)
